"Behold, I come quickly"... "and every man that hath this hope 
in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Everything About God Is Holy  

1. GOD IS HOLY

God is called "The HOLY one of Israel" -Isaiah 1:14, 16, 20 
In His presence the angels of heaven cried, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is the LORD.." -Isaiah 6:3 
God's Self-description is, "I am HOLY" -Leviticus 11:44 
The New Testament reinforces these words: Be ye HOLY for I am HOLY" -1 Peter 1:16

2. GOD LIVES IN A HOLY HEAVEN

God said: "I live in a high and HOLY place" -Isaiah 57:15

3. GOD'S NAME IS HOLY

"HOLY" is His Name" -Luke 1:49

4. GOD'S ANGEL'S ARE HOLY

"When the Son of Man shall come in his glory, and all the HOLY angels with Him... -Matthew 25:31  
"For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, 
when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Fathers, and of the HOLY angels" -Luke 9:26  
"....in the presence of the HOLY angels.." -Revelation 14:10

5. GOD'S  SON   JESUS IS  HOLY

The early believers described Him, "Thy HOLY child, Jesus" - Acts 4:27  
Even demons acknowledge Jesus as "the HOLY One of God" -Mark 1:24

6. GOD'S SPIRIT IS HOLY

Jesus called Him "the Comforter, which is the HOLY Ghost,  
whom the Father will send in my name.." -John 14:26  
Before ascending to Heaven, Jesus promised power to Believers
  "after that the HOLY Ghost is come upon you.." -Acts 1:8  
Paul declares "God" ..."hath given unto us His HOLY Spirit" -1 Thessalonians 4:8

7. GOD'S WORD IS HOLY

The Bible is called "the HOLY scriptures" - Romans 1:1,2  
Since childhood Timothy was taught the "HOLY scriptures" -2 Timothy 3:15

8. GOD'S PROPHETS ARE HOLY

God spoke to us by the "mouth of His HOLY prophets.." -Luke 1:70
  "His HOLY apostles and prophets.." -Ephesians 3:5

9. JESUS IS COMING BACK FOR HOLY PEOPLE

"That He might present it  to Himself, a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, 
or any such thing: but that it should be HOLY and without blemish.." Ephesians 5:27

10. GOD WANTS YOU TO BE HOLY

     God has called us "unto HOLINESS" -1 Thessalonians 4:7   
"He hath chosen us...that we should be HOLY and without blame before him in love.."   - Ephesians 1:4
    God commands us: "Be ye HOLY.." 1 Peter 1:16   
Holiness is required for admittance to Heaven.. 
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, 
without which no man can see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

Holiness is a neglected Bible truth. 

The word "Holy" is mentioned in the Old Testament over 500 times, 
and in the New Testament, over 100 times.  
The word "Holiness" is mentioned in the Bible 43 times. 
The word "Sanctification" is mentioned in the Bible 70 times.

Evidently these are important Bible subjects. 

God inspired all these writers throughout 1600 years to include these words in the Scriptures.  
Yet, some churches and believers are intimidated and even angered by these words.  
Some pastors never preach on these subjects. 
Some Christians become defensive as soon as these words are mentioned. 
Yet God Himself ordained that these topics should be the longed-for 
and expected experience of His people.
